During the weeks leading up to the invasion of Okinawa, Ava Christine’s all-female jazz band, The BelleWethers, performs for a battalion of war-torn soldiers nervously awaiting orders to invade the mainland. CAMPHOBIA. A comedy for kids satirizing America's anxiety epidemic and the fixation on trendy "cure-alls," for kids such as meditation, acupuncture, and gluten-free diets.
PROMENADE: Based on Shakespeare's As You Like It, an introverted middle school girl, disguises herself as a dude to convince the school wrestler to ask her to the dance.
SUCKERS. October 31, 1938, a group of neighborhood kids hear the radio broadcast of Orson Welles's The War of The Worlds and panic when they believe New Jersey is under Martian attack.
With socially conscious themes, idiosyncratic humor, and a depth of humanity, Josh's plays serve as vehicles to explore and express relevant matters of the mind and heart.
